An operator likely could be anyone participating to "organize, plan, promote, or operate" a gun show.

So, if I post on my blog that there will be a gun show at a certain place and time and the Attorney General has not been properly notified in writing then I am committing a serious offense. How serious?

"(B) Whoever knowingly violates section 932(a)(2) or 932(c) shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than 5 years, or both."

5 years for "promoting" a gun show. Wow. And according to Title 18, Part I, Chapter 44, Section 922.g, it is unlawful for any person-

"who has been convicted in any court of, a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year;

to ship or transport in interstate or foreign commerce, or possess in or affecting commerce, any firearm or ammunition; or to receive any firearm or ammunition which has been shipped or transported in interstate or foreign commerce."Brenthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16984693735405316873noreply@blogger.com
