Question

Are the books Animal Farm, Fahrenheit 451, or 1984 still required reading in our high schools?

Doubtful.

No, but I can only speak for 2000-2004 in New York.

They were not when I was in high school, 94-98. I read them anyway.

They did have us read Player Piano and Brave New World.

They were never required but we did read them in class (1999-2002).

I read them. Not in school, but at the age of about 10 or 12.

Now they're considered instruction manuals.
