State and Local Regulations, We Don't Follow no State and Local Regulations.

The city of East Cleveland, Ohio, is attempting to collect on citations against USPS drivers for running red lights and speeding in school zones.  The Postal Service is arguing that their drivers are performing an important task and do not have to follow local laws.

...Postal Service attorney Jennifer S. Breslin says two school-zone speeding citations and five red-light infractions by postal trucks in December should be ignored...


“However, as you are probably aware, the Postal Service enjoys federal immunity from state and local regulation,” she continued.

 Even the Post Office thinks their employees are above the common American.
