Body Armor Poll

Parade Magazine has posted a poll on body armor. The question is "Should sales of body armor be regulated?" The short article that accompanies the poll is titled "Why Criminals Are Buying Body Armor" and has a quote from one of our favorite anti's:

"There are no background checks, no federal regulations unless you are a violent offender—and even then you can buy them at gun shows or online," says Daniel Vice, senior attorney at the Brady Center To Prevent Gun Violence.
It seems the antis are anti... well... pretty much anything to do with self defense.

The current poll results indicate that 81% of Parade Magazine readers are for regulating sales of body armor.

If you find these results as silly as I do, head on over and hit that poll.

Somebody had to have set up a 'bot. The results were the opposite this morning.

parade magazine "if you want to call it a magazine" has always been a liberal rag.

I just checked from a different 'puter and it appears that voting is still open.

Thirdpower: Wouldn't put it past the antis one bit.

dw; Thought about mentioning decreasing newspaper subscribership and the future of Parade, but the poll was the issue.

I was considering making a purchase; there is no concealed carry in Illinois except for criminals and Chicago politicians.. Body Armor for citizens should be an option.

direct link leads back to you! they will know this and could askew the results, but then again do these things truly matter? I am referring to who is doing the polling.

I doubt Parade really cares where the hits come from, they are just counting page hits and collecting revenue from the ads. If this were a serious poll I would recommend folks cut and past the link into their browser.

Hey James, body armor in IL shouldn't be an option, it should be a part a "Welcome to Illinois" package handed out at the border and at the airports.

This is just noodle headed. Like you said. . . So much for support of any kind of self defense.

Yes, this really has more to do with the eventual outlawing of self defense than trying to curb criminals. These F***ers are coming at us from every direction. Makes me sick.

Now 78% for 22% against. Lets turn the tide on this one like we have on others.
