Two Sentence Beer Review - Lobotomy Bock

I was excited to find the 10.5% ABV Doppelbock at a good price, but Lobotomy Bock was quite the disappointment. No head, no body, no character - micro brew fail.

I had high hopes for this beer. The Inidan Wells Brewing Company is located in Inyokern CA and has some of the best water available. I wanted this small town brew to be a hit.

Paulaner Salvator is the Doppelbock by which all others are measured. Thankfully, they now stock it at my local Kroger. 10.5% seems a bit high, although I imagine those who drink Bud think Salvator's 7.9% is steep too.

I think the the 10.5%ABV on the label is a gimmic. I would guess the alcohol contont to be just North of half that.

I agree. I think the 10.8% alcohol content is way overstated. I would put it at about 6% at the most.
