How the Star-Telegram Sees the Tax Day Tea Parties

Bud Kennedy of the Star-Telegram has plenty to say about the upcoming Tea Parties:

...From its beginnings as an anti-tax protest for people who don’t understand how much of our North Texas economy depends on federal spending, the April 15 event has evolved into a festival for the fringe.
Well Bud, I wonder if you understand just how the cost of the stimulus package, the bailout packages, the omnibus spending bills and the Administrations 10 year, $10 trillion in new debt plan will bankrupt our children and grandchildren?

Hey Bud... don't you understand that much of the federal spending here in North Texas is on advanced weapons projects such as the F-22 Raptor, a project that is on the block to be canceled by this Administration?

Here is a homework lesson for you Bud. Do a bit of actual research and try to come up with one instance where a nation has taxed it's citizens into prosperity. Just one instance Bud, think you can do it?

If opposing a proven failed system makes me a member of "the fringe", then so be it.

"Its already starting"

Yes, all of the leftist trash networks have not mentioned a peep about it. But wait until the 15th. They will be bashing it all day long. CNN, MSNBC, NPR, etc etc..

On the F-22 topic. Yet another sad day in our great country when the "Commander In Cheif" decides not to invest in one of the greatest most advanced machines to keep his country and people safe. He is a flat out coward and appeaser.

You guys need to cut Bud some slack. He's just ignorant of how much 1 Trillion really is. He's not aware that making a payment of $86,400.00 per DAY, it takes 31,709.8 YEARS to payoff $1Trillion! Yes, that's Thirty-0ne THOUSAND, Seven Hundred, Nine and Eight-tenths YEARS! Multiply that by 10!

I'm pretty sure I'm on their list and I'm proud of it!

I belive Bud has totally missed the point. I do not wish the union to be disolved, however Texas would be and is, a totally self supporting state. We would not lose jobs (F22 and F35) because we could build the planes and sell them to the Feds. Or anyone for that matter. We also send much more money TO Washington that we get back so the trade off would be to our advantage. We could join OPEC. Build nuclear power plants, avoid the more onerous EPA senseless rules. Stop federal government infringements of individual rights. Hey -- I'm talking myself into something. See you at the Arlington tea party.

I have been pushed into "the fringe."

The Star Telegram is fringe. On the fringe of bankruptcy and failure. The Tea Party will out last it.
