...is finished.
I picked up the cheek rest at the Market Hall gun show this morning and that was the finishing touch.
Savage 10FCM Scout Rifle, Leupold FX-II 2.5x28mm IER Scout scope, Harris bi-pod, the Wilderness Ching Sling, an Uncle Mikes sling stud, and a cordura cheek rest from the gun show.
The barrel is broken in, the scope sighted in, and all that is left is for me to master it. The case of ammo that I also picked up this morning should help with that little task.

Wow. That's an interesting mount for the scope...that's a TON of eye relief for a rifle; I'd be interested in the specifics of the optics on that sucker.
Good looking long gun though.
Here is the link to the specs. 9.3" eye relief.
Next time you are at your folks, holler and I'll bring it up.
beautiful is all i can say and way better than a photo or vase
Thanks Torrance, it does look pretty sharp up there with the black pottery.
Nice rifle! Looking forward to a range trip post :)
Sweet. A long gun on the mantel looks...just right.
This baby shoots just as sweet as it looks! Thanks so much for honoring me with the experience of shooting it.
Want.
One!
Had a chance to shoot one of these a while back; very impressive rifle. The owner had replaced the front bead with a white-stripe post, and replaced the factory bolt handle with a smaller one; said the original whacked his hand under recoil. Excellent trigger, very good backup iron sights, not a bad piece at all.
I definitely have to get one some day...
