New Police Tactics

I grew up in a small desert town in California. I check in with the local newspaper every once in awhile just to see how things are going. After the article about the crop damage due to the worst freeze in 20 years (insert global warming joke here), I found this little gem.

Standoff ends after 3 hours

BRAWLEY — A man brandishing a shotgun barricaded himself inside his apartment here Saturday afternoon, in a three-hour standoff that ended when the man allegedly passed out drunk.
