Maxpedition Fatboy Versipack

As a comment to my most recent gun show post, Jed requested a review of the Maxpedition Versipack.

Two years ago I purchased a Maxpedition Fatboy Verispack as a gift for V.

Maxpedition Fatboy Versipack

She has worn it as her handbag ever since. It is light, comfortable, very durable and keeps all of her stuff handy for her use. V keeps a Kimber LifeAct Guardian Angel in the attached side pouch. A Fatboy Review On American Handgunner indicated that a full sized 1911 can be stored in the semi-hidden compartment. This is true, but deploying a full sized 1911, or a Browning Hi-Power for that matter, from that compartment is difficult. This would be a very good off-body carry option for a smaller frame handgun. The Jumbo Versipack would be the better choice for a larger framed handguns.

V really likes her Fatboy. It has accompanied us pretty much everywhere, even to the nicer restaurants that we occasionally visit.

Thanks, JR.

Wow, I had never considered the Maxpedition Versipack as a good alternative to the traditional purse before, but it does seem perfectly suited for those preparedness minded people.
