Watch this video, it is important:

It was good to see flags being flown at half mast today, proof that people do still remember what was done to us seven short years ago. It was good to hear the 9/11 commentary on the radio both on my way into work and on the way home. It saddens me that not a single person at work mentioned 9/11 today. As Breda surmised, the great "forgetting" has begun.

I will not forget. As I viewed the images once again while posting this roundup, I was at times brought to sobs. The pain of September 11th, 2001 is still as fresh as a raw wound. I still feel the shock at hearing of the first plane hitting the World Trade Center, and the horror of seeing the second. The anger at this horrendous attack, and the hatred towards those would would do such a thing has become a part of my everyday life.

Yes, I hate. I hate those who flew airplanes into our buildings killing thousands of our people. I hate those who cheered and danced in the streets at the success of the brutal savagery of that attack. I hate those who would strap bombs on their children and their mentally ill to blow them up and make headlines to promote terror. I hate those who burn and kill over silly little cartoons published in newspapers. I hate. I do not like this hatred, but I refuse to let it go. I will not forget, and I will not forgive.

I will never forgive or forget either. I woke up this morning and started sobbing. My eight year old son asked what was wrong and I told him the best I could. Some things are so heinous there is no forgetting or forgiving, at least for me.
