A Dessert Fit For... Wheat Beer?

Several time a year, Lawry's - The Prime Rib, hosts dinners that are based on the beverages that are served with the dinner. These are most often Wine Dinners, but they do build menus around Single Malt Scotches, Bourbons and Tequila. V and I try to make the Wine Dinners as they are fun and educational. At the last dinner we had the opportunity to blend our own Meritage, that was one of my favorites. This months dinner is a "Flying Dog Beer Dinner". I like Flying Dog Beer, as a matter of fact I am drinking a DogToberfest Märzen as I type this. We are not going to be able to make this particular dinner. V is not much of a beer fan and we have a lot on our plate for most of this week.

I am only mentioning this because of the dessert that is on the menu for this dinner:

Ancho Funnel Cake garnished with chocolate covered smoked bacon

Flying Dog Wheat
I'm going to have to get that recipe just... well... just 'cause.

Chocolate covered bacon is just too gross to even think about.

Torrance, you have a standing invitation for ribs, any day.

ac, yeah, but I just have to try it.

Rustmeister, the ancho's should be interesting in the funnel cake. I'll share the recipe when I can get a hold of it.
