Two Sentence Beer Review

Last week's Rogue Morimoto Imperial Pilsner was such a hit, I decided to try the Rogue Chipolte Ale this afternoon.

I'm still not a fan of chili peppers in my beer.

The Chipolte wasn't too bad,IMO, but not something I'd drink on a daily basis. More like a beer for certain foods.

A good Morimoto is the Soba ale. It's a great summertime beer with a (very)dry finish.

Now, the Black Obi Soba is another matter entirely. I didn't care for it at all, but the plain Soba was nice.

Hmmmm...Soba is a type of noodle here, and the bottle has Kanjii on it...noodle beer? Or, beer to soak noodles in for lunch? I'm up for it!

I'm not sure I'd be a big fan of a chipotle ale though.

I think the Rogue Chipotle would make a great ingredient in one of my bbq mops, a bbq sauce, chili or maybe even a marinade.

I have tried several chili beers hoping to find one I like, but have never found one that I would want to drink on a regular basis. The Rogue is the first one that I would even use as an ingredient in one of my recipies.
