Save the Second Amendment Petition

From the email:

Congressman Eric Cantor, the Chief Deputy Republican Whip in the U.S. House, has launched a new online petition at savethesecond.com

We are trying to get as many people as possible to sign the petition; a petition we want to use to reinforce to some people in Washington, just how many people value their second amendment rights. The decision by the United States Solicitor General was outrageous; we want to take action to protect our rights.

As leaders in the defense of the second amendment, we're asking you to help us spread the word about the petition. Every post on your blog, every friend you email - these will all increase the impact of the petition and help reinforce the seriousness of this issue to the bureaucrats in Washington who seemingly want to write away our rights.

Here is a link to the petition: http://www.savethesecond.com/

Here is a link to a short video about the petition: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBGtP6OPPsM

Thank you for your time. Together, we can defend our second amendment rights.

Best,

Matt
Give it a look. I have responded to Matt asking for more information and will keep you updated on this effort.

To me this was a no-brainer.

I stand behind my Constitution. That's why I held up my hand and swore the oath.

This Amendment is not an anachronism. It is not useless and it is not to be removed. Without it you can kiss ALL of the Constitution goodbye.

Will it do any good? I don't know.

I don't see how signing an online petition to support the U.S. Constitution can do any harm, though.

Maybe the fact that it is sponsored by a congress critter will help.
