Sixteen-year-old Theo Ribbs topped a star-studded field of high school and collegiate All-American competitors, winning a thrilling shoot-off over 2008 NSCA US Open Junior champion Joey Bolton to win the first Junior Open championship. Ribbs, the highest-ranked 16-year-old in the country fresh off a fourth-place finish at the US Open, and Bolton marched in lockstep over the June 14-15 tournament, both putting up scores of 89 on the Rock Creek course and 92 on the Elm Fork course for combined scores of 181x200. For his championship performance, Ribbs received the trophy and cash and a gun valued at over $2,200.
Congratulations Theo, great job!
