How do You Like...

...the new header? I'm thinking it may be a little large, but it is a good image. Joe Huffman was kind enough to take this with my camera while we were at the Gun Bloggers Summer Camp at Blackwater.

You can see that my grip has slipped a bit. This was at the end of the stage and I was on my sixth magazine. Having Todd Jarrett right behind you urging you to "get it, here it comes, get it, get that one, go go go" is quite the experience.

So what do you think, a keeper?

I like it.

Although...

I see a .45, but where's the keyboard?

"I see a .45, but where's the keyboard?"

I agree. Get the wife to take one with you sitting at your computer desk with your .45 in a holster. But don't look at the camera. Straight on face shots always look so cheesy...

You know, I have tried several times over the past couple of years to come up with a decent "keyboard and .45" image, but none of them came out just right.

You could just lay your .45 across your keyboard and take a picture of that. Wash the coffee stains first, though...

JR,

Love the pic and the size doesn't seem too large.

Just a thought on incorporating a keyboard; use it as a background for the entire width and height of your banner. Maybe as a transparency under the pic....the blog title could be spelled out above the function keys?

that's a great idea. or maybe have a blown up portion of a keyboard as the background and lay the picture on top of the enter key. just a thought. like the pic though.

Thanks guys, you have given me something to work with. I had not thought of superimposing the main image over a keyboard. That is a great idea.

Now it took me 2 and a half years to change the blogger default header, so be patient with me on future changes.

Were you empty or did Joe actually catch the slide in mid-action?

Joe should have caught an empty cartridge in flight. Joe?

Looks nice.

Judging from the height of the smoke, I think that Joe caught me empty.
